2014 Trip Review

The International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes at the COSI
I rember going to the COSI when I was at a middle shcool trip. The exibihits were fun and interactive, I did enjoy the treasure hunt adventure. Coming back here brings a lot of good memories.
The Sherlock Exibit was really fasinating. The setting was ripped right out the novels, and had to use our brians to solves the mystery.

Kentucky Kingdom
When I heard about Kentucky Kingdom reopened, I was kinda of overwhlmed by the fact that it's been year sienc it closed. When coming back to Kentucky Kingdom, I was'nt impressed when they took down the Looney Toons play area. On the otherhand, we did enjoy the rides such as Thunder Run and Twisted Sitster.
We even did spend most of the time at Hurricane Bay.

Banshee at Kings Island

The new Banshee roller coaster was the first attractions we've riden at Kings Island, and belive me it was fastes, excelerating and badass roller coster I've riden in all my life. They had great themed que line.

The Highland Renisance Fair
It was Steampunk Weekend at the Kentucky Highland Reniscance Fair. Dad and I dressed up for the event. I was in a top hat with goggles and kilt. It was quite a surpirise for me when they asked me to play the part of The Drunken Scottsman. Over all the costumes were great and the shows were funny.

Minstrels

Those who are not familair with steampunk, here are some pictures I've took.

The Smithsionian Museumes
The Newseum was the first and newst musume we went to during our trip to Washington. They had a priting press, an exibit on Anchorman, a replicas of the Berlin Wall and antina from the Twin Towers.

Action News Chopper

Ancherman

Busch  Gardens
I enjoy going to Busch Gardens than Epcot's World Showcase. Because of the attmosphic landscaping, the themed areas, the attractions and of couse the food. I did mangae to ride all five of the roller coasters including the new Verbolton. Too bad Dad was having neck problems, he was missing the fun.
Joly Old England

Diagon Alley
The attmosphere and enviroment to the new additions were enchanting. A perfect way to combine the light of Digon Alley and the darkness of Noxturn Alley. They were straigh out of the movies and books. The ride was excelerating and intense. The food at the Leaky Cauldron was great.

Halloween Horror Nights 24
As mentioned brfore in my pervious post on the best Horror Nights events. I really was anticipated and had expectations on what was I to suscpect and uspect for this years Horror Nights 24th anniversary.
Halloween
We've only to five of the haunted houses they provided. My personaly favorites were Halloween, Dollhouse of the Damned and Roanoke Canibal Conley.

Dollhouse of the Damned

Roanoke: Canibal Conley

I was glad they had there themed scare zones back. The last two previous years were a bunch of hit and misses. My favories were Face Off, Mask-arid, and Bayou of Blood.

The Voodoo Queen

Mrs Pumkin Head

The Siren

Old Town Legends: A Haunting
Unlike Universal's Horror Nights and Busch Gardens Howl o Scream. This haunted attraction is open year round. The attraction did remind my a bit of Ripplie's Haunted Attraction. The sets were straight out of a movie and the effects were amazing.

Black Widows

Mr Ashton

The Dickens Christmas Festival
During the Christmas sesons, The Kentucky Highland Rensacie Fair become the Dickenas Christmas Festival. They would act out scences from the classic Holiday novel in order. I loved the costumes and food they provied.

Krampus: Seasons Greetings

Synopsis: During the night before Christmas, in the town of Evergreen. Krampus, the demon who acompanies St Nickolas, wreaks havoc on the naughty children.

Facade: Guests will enter into the frigid Winter air in front of a house, decorated with lights and covered with snow. They will notice some unsusal things such as hoof prints in the snow before entering.

All Through the House:Upon entering the house, a Christmas tree with presents waiting to be unwrapped.
The fire place is deced with stocking on the mantle pice. The sounds of hoofs beats and rumbling can be heard within the chimney, as the yuletide demon Krampus emperges from the fireplace.

Inside the kitchen, burning flesh could be smelled as a minion in in a chef's outfit pulls a pile of flesh-cookies from the oven. The flesh doner is the father of the household, currently dead on the table with gingerbread man-shaped slices taken out of her back. Inside the oven a fat little boy is seen roasted like a turkey and placed on a dining room table for Christmas dinner.

Bad Little Girl: Guests have entered a girl's bedroom, who seem to in her teen years. Krampus and his minons would come out from various corners and attack the girl.

Winter Horror-Land: Exiting the house and into the backyard, guests will pass through a series of  snowmen. Some of them will come to life to frighten guests. An minion on the other side of a wooden fence squeaked a horn and peeked through holes in the fence at guests.

Wreck the Halls: Entering the next house, guests would see that a Christmas party has once taken place, only to be invaded by Krampus's minions.

Sweet Dreams: Moving into the next house, guest will find themselves in a child's bedroom. A shadowy figure with massive horns can seen in the bedroom windows as the child is sleeping. The sound of broken glass can be heard, as Krampus whisks away the child through the window.

When Toys Attack: The attic is filled with decorations and forgoten playthings. A body is tied up with Christmas lights and left hanging upside-down from the rafters. Occasionally the lights would flicker and the body would twitch. Toys would come to life and attack guests.

Guests would move into the shed of the next house, where the minions have taken over bransishing their power tools to "make the toys"

Oh Christmas Tree: Exiting the house into the backyard, it feels like it is 40 degrees, and snow falls above guests while they make their way throgh a row of evergreen trees. A snowblower had apparently had a body fed into it; it rumbled in front of a massive red splotch on the trees.

Seasons Greetings: Guests will make their way through Krampus's lair where sacks of his victims can be heard whithin. In the finale scene, victims from last year are piled into corners. Some will come to life pleaing for help. Guests must pass under a massive Krampus before exiting the house, taunting guests to be good next year or else.

Halloween Horror Nights: Happy Horrordays

The theme for each scare zone and house will be based on different holidays in sort of a weird and twisted manner. There would be several icons based on the holiday mascots, in which they would have their own haunt.

New Years Eve: What better way to celebrate New Years Eve at the end of the world. Civilians mingling with demons and fallen angels, as Father Time oversees the pandemonium.

Valentines Day: I have two ideas for a Valentines Day themed haunt.
1. The cult classic horror film My Bloody Valentines Day

St Patrick's Day: For the haunt would feature the Leprechaun movie franchie, along with The Banshee, The Pouka and other dreaded creatures of Irish folklore.

Mardi Gras: The haunt would be in New Orleans with it's back alleyways and swampy environs. With a touch of voodoo mysticism.

April Fools: Horror Nights wouldn't be complete without clowns and the jokes are on you.

Earth Day/Arbor Day: These environmental themed holidays would have a nature's revenge story.

Easter: The Bunny Man would be suitable for an Easter themed haunt.

Summer Solstice: The haunt for the Summer Solstice would be similar to The Wicker Man. A coven of witches and warlocks search for one who is worthy for the sacrifice.

Independence Day: The haunt would be loosely be based on the haunting and supernatural encounters of The White House. Another idea would be a battlefield haunted by the ghosts of Revolutionary War.

Day of the Dead: The haunt would be similar to 2010s scare zone Esqueleto Muerte.

Halloween: The movie Trick r Treat should have it's debut as a haunt for anticipated fans.

Veterans Day: A sequel to Nightingales set in World War II crossing over with War of the Living Dead.

Thanksgiving: The Thanksgiving scare zone would feature the vengeful souls of Native Americans wreaking havoc during the Thanksgiving parade.

Christmas: The Christmas haunt would have Krampus, the Christmas demon who punishes the naughty children.

TDS TOT Ride Through

The ride begins affter guests board their vehicle on the elivator. The elevator is pushed backwards by some unnatural force and then carries them up to rooms of the hotel.

Ballroom: The elevator lift will take guests to the ballroom. The spirits of Maxwell and Victoria manifest in front of guests eyes in the form of two glowing blue ghosts. While the ghostly couple dance, the ballroom morphs into a starlit void and the couple then vanishes in the darkness.

The Mirror: The doors open, an ornate, wood-framed mirror stands in a brightly lit hallway of the hotel and riders see their reflection in its glass. The voice of Mr Towers tells the guest to wave goodbye to the real world. As they do, the relection of the glass then starts to crack and shaters. The elevator vibrates and shakes and begins the drop sequence.

Drop Sequence: The elveator starts to go out of control, plummeting up and down. Effects of  cable snaping and streks of lightening will provide some effects.

At the end of the drop sequence, the elevator returns to the loading level. After which, the service doors open and guests exit the hotel through the basement and the gift shop.

TDS Tower of Terror Reboot

Here is my take on the Tower of Terror at Tokyo Disney Sea.

Backstory: Built in 1879 by millionaire clebrite Ricahrd Towers. The Hotel Towers was the most elaborate hotel that anyone who come to visit. With an enomus libarry, art displays, a greenhouse and luxerious rooms for guests. It was on that dark and stormy night in 1910 on Friday the 13th. When Mr Tower's son Mazwell Towers was married to his fiancĂ©e, Victoria Rosette. People belived it was bad luck to get married on that day, or suffer a dreadful curse. The wedding reception was held at the Hotel, music and joy was everywhere in rooms. When the newly weds were on their way to the Honeymoon Suite, lightening struck the elvator wing, the evelator went out of control and fell 13 stories to the depths of the hotel. Maxwell and his bride both parised on that elevator. Gusests were panic strickened and forced to evacuate the entire building.  The hotel was abruptly closed and condemned for more than a decade, rumored by locals to be haunted. After the death of Mr Towers in 1915, New York restoration company reopened the hotel doors to the public to tour the hotels many rooms and hallways, and may catch a glimps of its ghosts.

Facade and Que
The Hotel Towers is a grand, but semingly dilapidated gothic victorian style hotel. Guests will wind their way through the gardens filled with many statues from many different countries.
Guests will notice a few details scatred within the garden. Such as  a tea set laid out on wicker funiture. Inside the winter garden, withered flower garlands adorn the glass celings as if a wedding celebration took place here. A water foutian trickles with unnatural green water.

Lobby
Guests will then enter the lobby, it is very elaborate and well-decorated room filled with lush furniture and beautiful works of art. If you listen closey, you can hear music and people's voices as if a party is taking place.
At the end of the lobby are the elevator doors, left open in its destroyed state with only a single plank of wood holding it together. The broken cable is visible inside.

Guests are then ushered into a hallway filled with many pictures, some of wich will include Mr Towers, his son Maxwell and his bride. A tour guide will give guests about the Hotel's history and it's owners.

Preshow
Guests enter one of two rooms, either his salon or the library, and in each room is a portrait of the hotel in is former glory. The lights then blick out, the fireplace starts to glow green, and the paining comes to life. Showing the fates of Maxwell and his brides fate.

Bording Area

A sceret passage way opens, to revel a dark passage. Guests are then ushered into a hallway that lead them to a grand staircase. There are multiple loading rooms, each themed to a different type of item from difrent contents.
